You can now use the internet to book appointments with a GP and request repeat prescriptions for any medications you take regularly. 

Being able to see your record online may help you to manage your medical conditions. You can also access this from anywhere in the world should you need medical treatment whilst on holiday. This service can be accessed from you home PC, Tablet or Mobile. 

Kington Medical Practice can now enable patients to view Lab Results online and have 24/7 access to health advice and online query forms, please contact us if you would like to have the Lab Results feature enabled on your account.

Online bookable Appointments 

We now have a wider range of appointments available to be booked online. These will include, Blood tests, Smears and a number of Nurse practitioner appointments. We must make you aware that blood test appointments must only be made if a Practice Clinician or Hospital Consultant has requested for you to have your blood tested. Below is a list of some ailments that you can book to the see the Nurse Practitioner for: 

  • Infections such as chest, throat, ear and urinary tract (please bring a urine sample along to your appointment)
  • Skin Complaints
  • Insect Bites
  • Rashes
  • Mole checks
  • New Occurrence of abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation
  • All joint and muscle pains
  • Allergic reactions not relating to medications 

If you are unsure if your ailment is appropriate to be seen by a Nurse Practitioner please contact the reception team who will be happy to advise you

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE APPOINTMENT BOOKINGS ARE MONITORED, IF AN APPOINTMENT BOOKED IS INAPPROPRIATE THE PRACTICE WILL CONTACT THE PATIENT TO REARRANGE. 

ONLINE CONSULT

All online consult forms submitted to the practice will be dealt with within 48 hours, please note that these forms are not monitored over weekends and  bank holidays and are for NON URGENT queries only. For emergencies and urgent help please contact the surgery.

The app allows you to get automated reminder messages, including appointments, which give you a quick and easy way to cancel an appointment you no longer need. This helps to avoid wasting GP time, and helps the NHS to save money including the cost of SMS messages sent by your Practice.

KINGTON MEDICAL PRACTICE FLU VACCINATION SEASON 2019/20

We have scheduled two walk in clinics for this season, these will be held on:

 

Saturday 28th September between

8am – 12noon, for patients 65 and over only.

&

Saturday 26th October between

8am – 12noon, for over 65’s and at risk patients who are under 65.

 

All eligible Under 18’s will be invited separately and will not be seen at the walk in clinics
