Baby and Child

Midwife Clinic

pregnant_19

The community midwife holds a clinic at Kington surgery on a Thursday afternoon. You can book to see the midwife either via reception or the midwife.  Once you have had your baby you will be asked to make an appointment with a GP for a 6week check for yourself and your baby. These can be done in a normal GP clinic but you will need a 30 minute appointment so please specify the reason for your appointment when booking.

Baby Vaccinations and Child Immunisations

Immunisation clinics are held every week. You will be sent a letter by the child health department when your child is due a vaccination, however you will receive a letter from the surgery with appointment details enclosed. If you wish to cancel an appointment or do not want your child to have the  vaccination, please could you let the surgery know as soon as possible. Please bring your child's red book along to the appointment, otherwise you may need to re-book.
